Docēre rāphè: Docēre is Latin for doctor which is translated, teacher. Rāphè is Hebrew for physician which is translated, healer. Dr. Goodyear’s passion for Wellness began with his own 100-pound post-college football career weight loss. Dr. Goodyear is dedicated to disease prevention, disease resolution, and to the Wellness Lifestyle through a solution-based, Integrative Medicine approach founded in science.
My personal philosophy and aim is to lead a life of balance. The old Greeks and Hippocrates, the Father of Modern Medicine, said it: “Nothing in excess, take the middle path and everything in its right measure.” I believe that the purpose of any healer, any doctor, is to teach that, “we heal ourselves through the way we live our lives every day”.
BSN, MSN, NP
I absolutely love to learn which has led to complete many years of schooling. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing through Chamberlain College of Nursing. Beginning in 2012, I worked in a variety of settings which included home health, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and primary care offices. Along the way I have specialized in cardiac and critical care, particularly within the environment of the ICU. During this time, I also went on to obtain my Family Nurse Practitioner license.
I was lucky enough to be raised by a mother who was very into alternative healing methods and the diet-disease connection. Because of this I have always been fascinated by the human body and decided to go into nursing.
RN, BSN, MSN
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, I moved to Arizona in 2013 with my husband and two Boston Terriers to attend nursing school at Brookline College. While there I received both my Bachelors and Master’s degree in Nursing. My experience includes the acute care setting (med/surg, progressive care), regenerative medicine, and home health.
I received my BSN from Grand Canyon University and spent 30 years of my professional career in Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Arizona, California & the US Virgin Islands. I also have work experience in home care, research, and occupational health. Throughout my career my focus has always been on helping others and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
In 2010, I received my RN from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Throughout my career I have specialized in geriatric nursing with an emphasis on symptom management and chronic illness.
Two years ago, my husband passed away after undergoing treatment for cancer. After that experience, I decided I wanted to dedicate my time working in holistic cancer care. I’ve learned the benefits of this approach which is a combination of the wellness of the mind, body, as well as spirit, which is all needed to promote healing, whether it is for prevention or health maintenance.
As an I-ACT certified Colon Hydrotherapist, I know the power of combining nutrition and naturopathic modalities to create an environment in the body conducive to health and healing. For six years I have been practicing colon hydrotherapy alongside many passionate practitioners and doctors.
