Jamie Genet, RN
Nurse Manager
Since I was young, I have been interested in healthcare. As soon as I was old enough, I became a candy striper which gave me a small taste of the medical field. I have always been drawn to more natural approaches to healing, maybe because growing up we didn’t go to the doctor much and relied on our bodies, and faith, to do what it was meant to do; heal and regenerate. I believe there is a place for conventional, as well as alternative medicine, as they both provide great things. If we can draw from both, amazing things can happen.
My journey in healthcare started a little later than most and I graduated from nursing school right here in Arizona, in 2013. I worked as a CNA in the hospital while I was in nursing school and transitioned to being an RN on the same floor. My experience includes working on an Orthopedic/Stroke/Med-surg/Post-surgical unit, Pre-op/Recovery, Home Health/IV infusion, and now I am settling in very nicely at An Oasis of Healing.
I love that we work with the whole person; mental, emotional, spiritual (whatever that looks like for you), and physical. I know they are all connected and require attention for full healing.
In my spare time I enjoy glamping (I have to have a shower 😊) with my hubby, country dancing, karaoke, teaching Zumba, foot zoning, and I am excited to have a new grandbaby added to my life.
