Originally from Colombia, South America, as the middle child of five, I grew up in a very loving family. From a very young age my grandfather had a passion for plant medicine and educated me on the benefits that nature provides for us. Grandpa always had a plant remedy for any illness in our family. After the long conflict in my home country reached our very own doorstep, I came to the US in the early 2000’s.

In late 2010, I graduated from nursing school in the largest nursing program in the State of Arizona at Gateway Community College. I have expanded my career and knowledge in nursing ever since. I have worked in oncology, critical care, kidney/ liver transplant, home health, hospice care, along with multiple travel nursing assignments in New York during COVID.

A life changing event in 2021 lead me to question how I was taking care of my health. I  always felt I was missing something in my career and everyday life. I became interested  in mind and body health which led me to question a lot of the conventional treatments I was administering in my job. I decided to expand my interest to include alternative medicine.

This brought me to An Oasis of Healing in early 2023. This choice has been so impactful in a positive way. I can honestly say it has been the most heartfelt nursing experience I have had in my career. I continue to learn and enjoy my time here among some of the best practitioners touching the lives of so many wonderful patients that come to our clinic. I have learned to live my life by practicing gratitude and the center offers me just the daily dose I need.

I am immensely proud of my Colombian roots so in my free time I love to dance salsa and listen to music. I also enjoy spending time with my two beautiful children and fiancé.
